WhosTheDumbass.com ("the Site"), operated by WhosTheDumbass ("we," "us," or "our"), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Information We Collect

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect your real name, email address, phone number, or physical address.
We do not collect your IP address for tracking purposes.
We do not use cookies for advertising or third-party tracking.
We do not have access to your wallet's private keys, seed phrase, or funds. Wallet interactions happen directly between your browser extension and the blockchain.

3. Local Storage

The Site uses your browser's localStorage to save:

Your user ID (so you can be recognized on return visits)
Your display name
Whether you've taken the test

This data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers except when interacting with the leaderboard. You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's local storage or site data.

4. How We Use Your Information

Leaderboard display: Your display name, score, rank, payment badge, and optional URL are shown publicly on the leaderboard.
Payment processing: Wallet addresses and transaction hashes are used solely to verify and apply boost payments.
Site operation: User IDs are used to identify returning users and prevent duplicate submissions.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data Storage & Security

Leaderboard data and payment records are stored on Cloudflare Workers KV, a globally distributed key-value store.
We use reasonable technical measures to protect stored data, but no system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.
Cryptocurrency transactions are recorded permanently on their respective public blockchains (Solana, Ethereum). We have no ability to modify or delete on-chain transaction data.

6. Third-Party Services

The Site uses the following third-party services that may process data:

Cloudflare: Hosting, CDN, and API infrastructure. Subject to Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
GitHub Pages: Frontend hosting. Subject to GitHub's Privacy Statement.
CoinGecko API: Cryptocurrency price data. No user data is sent to CoinGecko.
Phantom / MetaMask: Wallet extensions run locally in your browser. We do not control or have access to data within your wallet. Refer to their respective privacy policies.
Solana / Ethereum blockchains: Transaction data (wallet addresses, amounts, timestamps) is publicly and permanently recorded on-chain.

7. Public Nature of Blockchain Transactions

If you make a boost payment, please be aware that:

Your wallet address and transaction details are permanently recorded on a public blockchain.
Anyone can view these transactions using a blockchain explorer (e.g., Solscan, Etherscan).
We cannot delete, modify, or hide on-chain transaction data.

8. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with information, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.

9. Your Rights

You may:

Request deletion of your leaderboard entry by contacting us with your display name and user ID.
Clear local data by clearing your browser's localStorage for this site.
Opt out of the leaderboard by not taking the quiz.

Note: We cannot delete cryptocurrency transaction data from public blockchains, as this is outside our control.

10. Data Retention

Leaderboard data is retained indefinitely unless you request deletion or we reset the leaderboard. Payment records are retained for our records and to maintain leaderboard integrity. Browser localStorage data persists until you clear it.

11. International Users

The Site is operated from the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Site, you consent to this transfer.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
